Feeling The Need To Prove Your Homeschool Success

Real talk: as a parent of home educated children, I still find myself hoping they’ll outperform their schooled peers academically.

Educationally, we seem to have decided that children are almost entirely incompetent. Are they?

Somehow the four walls of a room within a school building have become our gold standard learning space. Really think about that for a second.

Being busy has become a badge of honour, but it’s nothing short of an epidemic. We need to slow down now while it’s not too late.

Children not becoming good students has never been the problem. It’s the fact we decided such a concept even exists.

We’re taught very early on in life that ‘fitting in’ is a key strategy for making our way in the world.
